10% LUMPSUM PROVISION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF NORTH EASTERN STATES

This is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme formulated especially for development of the North Eastern states for which Government of India has earmarked 10% for all Ministries' Budget. It is mainly focused on Development of Urban Infrastructure such as roads, drainage, water supply, solid waste management, etc., Slum Improvement, Poverty Alleviation, etc. The funding pattern is on the basis of 90% central share and 10% state share.
So far 33 projects for development of urban infrastructure in various towns of the State have been sanctioned under this scheme, most of which have been completed and the rest in various stages of completion.
